Robertas Semeniukas is a rock musician from Lithuania. His inspirations range from Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and Jeff Beck, to Joe Satariani, Steve Vai, and Queen. Semeniukas’s latest album entitled Backstage Stories was released on November 20th of last year. The 20 track project is produced by the artist himself. Full of variety and musical exploration, there are some really interesting moments on the album.
The first word that comes to mind when listening to Backstage Stories is commitment. Semeniukas is dedicated and committed to this project. We hear a strength and confidence and a musical understanding that rings true throughout the entire album. Highlights include Flying High, Per bangas feat. Sigita, Journey Home, You Gotta Move feat. Mr. Belkin, and Nebilia lankoj feat. Veronika Povilionienė.
The video for Eat My Dust is an homage to rock and roll. Fast, glorious, intense solos showcase the chops of both Semeniukas and Mr. Jumbo. Full of energy and a constant groove that propels the song forward, the music video is a delight to watch and listen to. Watching musicians play that truly enjoy their craft brings an element of wonder to their artistry.
If you are a fan of good ole’ rock and roll, I recommend adding this album to your rotation. To learn more about this Lithuanian artist check out his Website. Follow him on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Listen to Soundcloud for more sounds. Watch music videos on his Youtube Channel.
