Lily Lambert released “Merry Christmas” on December 4th. It features Christmas classics most are quite familiar with.  The British singer puts her unique and pretty spin on each song with a folk, Welsh, Irish, and Country undertone. With classics like “Silent Night”, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”, and “Feliz Navidad”, it’s a great holiday listen with friends and family at a party or while opening gifts.

Lily Lambert gained recognition for her albums “Life of Lily” and “So Far”.  Her sound has an indie alternative appeal and “Merry Christmas” stays true to this sound.  Lily gives holiday classics a nice and unusual spin, truly making each song her own.

A highlight on the album is “O Holy Night”.  Beautiful harmonies and violin add layers to Lamberts soprano voice. Another catching song on the album is “Carol of the Bells”.  With upright bass and at a slower pace than usually heard, it’s simplicity lends itself to a nice and smooth listen. “Feliz Navidad” features a slow-paced melody featuring beautiful piano and vocal harmonies.
